Advances in our understanding of obesity have expanded therapeutic options in weight management. In just the last 3 years, antiobesity medications that consider the pathobiology of weight regulation have become available. These medications, used as an adjunct to lifestyle modification, can help selected patients with obesity achieve greater weight loss. Because the goal of weight loss is to improve the overall health of the patient, a multidisciplinary effort among healthcare providers will provide optimal results.
The 1.5-hour symposium will include a panel of three expert faculty that will present the latest findings and guideline-based care using audience interactivity.
